Wenzel Logistics GmbH is a successful transport and logistics company with around 130 employees and four strategically located sites in Vienna, St. Michael, Wels and at the Werndorf freight terminal. Our range of services includes intermodal transportation, road transport and warehouse logistics.
Our branch in Werndorf, part of the Cargo Center Graz and co-founded by Wenzel Logistics, is a central hub for our intermodal transports. With more than 9,000 m² of state-of-the-art, heatable storage space, equipped with sprinkler systems and the highest environmental standards, we also offer temperature-controlled warehouse management. We also facilitate the handling of containers and swap bodies.
1998 Development of a logistics vision
Norbert Wenzel founded “Wenzel Logistics GmbH” in Premstätten near Graz. The rapidly growing company initially concentrated on warehousing and conventional truck transportation.
2000 Expansion to St. Michael
We opened another branch in St. Michael at the A9/S6/S36 highway junction. Here we have 10,200 m² of warehouses, 1,250 m² of outdoor storage and 15,000 m² of open space.
2004 Pioneering work in intermodal transportation
Since the beginning of 2004, Wenzel Logistics GmbH has been operating an intermodal rail shuttle system in cooperation with W. Combi Cargo Transportlogistik GmbH & Co KG, which connects Styria, Carinthia, Slovenia and Hungary with the Ruhr area and the BENELUX countries.
2016 Diversification and site expansion
In 2016, we expanded our intermodal offering with a new train connection to Frankfurt and opened another branch in Vienna, specializing in project and special transports as well as road transport in Western and Eastern Europe.
2020 Integration of Walser Eisenbahn GmbH
From 2016, we also offered sea freight alongside road and intermodal transport. In 2020, the Wenzel Group took over Walser Eisenbahn GmbH in Vienna and Werndorf to strengthen our intermodal transport operations.
2022 Introduction of company-owned locomotives
In 2022, Wenzel Logistics procured its first two company-owned Siemens Vectron locomotives and opened a branch in Wels to serve the Upper Austrian market.
2023 25 years of Wenzel Logistics GmbH
We celebrated our 25th anniversary as Wenzel Logistics GmbH.

Our new intermodal connection between Austria and Poland is revolutionizing logistics: more efficient, more sustainable and more economical - a significant step forward for companies and the entire transport industry.

Wenzel logistics GmbH is committed to the environment and to contributing to the fulfillment of the Kyoto Protocol. Our slogan “We reduce CO2! We travel by rail! We don’t talk about shifting from road to rail, we do it!” illustrates the company’s attitude towards nature and the environment.
By shifting from road to rail, around 15,000 truck journeys are avoided. This environmentally friendly alternative will reduce CO2 emissions by around 6,000 tons per year. By reducing the burden on the roads, the ecological footprint is to be improved. The environmentally friendly project was supported by the European Commission’s Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA).

At the site, we operate over 9,000 m² of modern, heated warehouses with sprinkler systems and the highest environmental standards, which enable temperature-controlled storage. We also offer handling facilities for containers and swap bodies.

The Wels site is the newest location of Wenzel logistics GmbH and was opened at the end of 2022.
In addition to conventional road transportation within Europe, we offer you a reliable connection with individual transport solutions for both imports and exports from Upper Austria to the Ruhr area (Neuss) and the Benelux countries.

Our Vienna-based branch primarily offers you conventional road transportation as general cargo, part and full loads to and from Western and Eastern Europe. Our “project and special transports” department operates nationally, internationally and worldwide. At your request, we can organize various project handling, construction site logistics, shipping of complete industrial plants, for example, and all related preparations and official procedures. Our Viennese team is linguistically proficient and looks forward to assisting you with your request!
